  Strengthening the "Double First-Class"construction plays a key role in speeding up the modernization of the governance system and ability and improving the level of talent training, scientific research, social service, cultural inheritance and innovation and international exchange and cooperation of universities.It will make the universities become a crucial force of knowledge discovery and scientific and technological innovation , a significant source of advanced ideas and excellent culture and an important center of high-quality talent fostering.And universities will make great contribution to supporting national innovation-driven development,serving economic and social development, promoting Chinese traditional culture and facilitating the implicit development of higher education.As a provincial university,Wuhan Institute of Technology will persist in running the university based on Hubei Province and cover the whole country, implementing the strategy of "Quality,Talents,Innovations,Characteristics and Culture builds up its strength ". WIT will endeavor to make the distinctive predominant disciplines of "big chemical engineering "larger and stronger, recruit and gather global talents,build innovative teams,develop first-class teaching faculty and staff, foster innovative top talents, improve the level of scientific research, inherit and innovate excellent culture, promote the internationalization of education and teaching, the transformation of achievements, and accelerate the developement of top chemical engineering fields and high-level of multi-disciplinary teaching and research universities.
